Signatory Single Cask Seasons - Sherry Butt Finish
The 2021 Winter Edition of Kirsch Import's Seasons range has everything a dram needs for the current season, starting with the shade. The Single Malt Scotch flows into the glass as warm and golden as the longed-for sun. The finish in Sherry Butt No. 4 from the Signatory Vintage cask store is responsible for the beautiful natural coloring. Here the Highlander lay dormant for over 11 years until his profile was ripe for the dram of the season. At a strong 60.4% vol. smoke and ash, wood and leather, orange peel and dates combine and set a complex counterweight to the gray monotony of this winter.
Tasting Note:

First medium-strong smoke aromas paired with caramel and spices. Hints of orange peel, overripe passion fruit and red grapes follow.

Extinguished match, clear wood notes and some leather. Followed by fruity raisins, dried dates and a hint of black tea.

Initially again raisins and some warm ash. Then slowly fading with notes of tree sap, nougat and a hint of aniseed.
